POLICY ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

The use of artificial intelligence in En-Claves del Pensamiento must comply with the following guidelines:

- Large Language Models (LLMs) or other generative AI tools can’t be listed as authors in the articles.

- Authors must be transparent and forthcoming about their use of generative AI, and editors must have access to the tools and strategies to ensure authors' transparency.

- Editors and reviewers should not solely rely on generative AI to review submitted articles.

- Editors bear the ultimate responsibility for selecting reviewers and must actively supervise this task.

- The final responsibility for editing an article lies with human authors and editors.

The journal may decline to consider manuscripts in which the use of artificial intelligence tools has not been disclosed in accordance with this policy. Likewise, when, due to technical constraints or limitations of editorial time and resources, it is not reasonably possible to verify such use, the journal may decide not to initiate or not to continue the editorial process for the manuscript. This decision is based solely on considerations of transparency and the practical feasibility of the editorial process and does not, in itself, constitute a judgment regarding the academic quality of the work.

Manuscript Correction and Revision

The use of generative artificial intelligence tools for proofreading, copyediting, stylistic editing, or rewriting manuscripts is not permitted. This provision is intended to ensure the traceability of authorship and to avoid difficulties in distinguishing between merely formal interventions and substantive modifications to the text. Authors are responsible for the linguistic and editorial revision of their manuscripts.

The use of conventional spelling and grammar checking tools that are limited to identifying errors, without generating, reformulating, or rewriting text, is not considered the use of generative artificial intelligence.
